Went to the Chinese & Japanese Gardens today with Derek. He's so cute. He wanted to bring me to the Tortoise / Turtle Museum but didn't want me to know. Wana gimme a surprise. So whenever there is a poster about the museum, he'd divert my attn away. LOL. Actually he need not do so lah. Cos I wouldn't notice. Partly cos I'm not a very observant person and partly cos my attn is all on him. Tsk tsk.

Anyway, I'm very amazed at the different species of turtles and tortoises in the Museum. They are uncountable! Turtles / Tortoises can be so cool too you know. haha. There is one which is 2 headed and 6 legged! One in the world! Cool!

We were lucky. Cos at around 4 pm, it was feeding time! The owner allowed us to feed the tortoises! Haha. Fun man. We fed them with cucumbers. They're very fierce lor. So big & strong. So greedy. And they bite! Scary~ Lol. I wanted to feed a younger one cos itz being squashed below by the bigger ones, so poor thing. But I was afraid the rest would bite me if i stretch out the cucumber towards the young one. So I tricked the big ones away before feeding the younger one. Lol. They don't bite leh, they practically swallow the food lor. haha. And they're really strong. You have to hold on the cucumber pretty tightly. If not, you'll be pulled towards them. Haha. When the cucumber's too short, it's not wise to feed them directly. Lest u wana get bitten! It's no joke man.

Yum yum.. It's feeding time. Haha..

This is Derek feeding them. Know smthg? He caused 2 tortoises to overturn! Haha. One of them tried to bite off the cucumber but to no avail. It pulled until its head was almost into its shell already lor. Haha. It tried pulling until Derek had to let go, causing it to fall backwards, dragging another down with it. They were practically si jiao cai tian lor! It was amusing! Haha. The owner had to use a dustpan to turn them back. LOL. Joke of the day. Hehe.

This is me feeding. Cucumber in one hand, handphone camera in the other. Pro eh? Haha.

Just look at the size! Derek & I fed a cucumber each. The owner threw in 4-5 more cucumbers! Huge appetite. Haha.

Just look at the cucumber seeds on its face! Shows how greedy it is. Haha..

This escaped refugee from the pond was charging at me. Haha..

Aiyo. Scared already. Hidden in its shell. =x

Did you know? Its shell can close up too!

Guess what are those. Tortoises! Greedy bunch. You just have to step onto the bridge and they charge towards u. Haha. Paid a dollar to feed them. Stepped over one another. Sad man. Haha. Dumb too. Cos they all stuck their heads so high up. They couldn't see the food we threw at them! The fishes snatched to eat. Dumb tortoises. Tells us that the fittest does not necessarily win. Lol.

A close up of them climbing on top of one another. This is a competitive world. Even for the tortoises. LOL.

12 sheng xiao. Tigers roar~ Haha..

Gentle rabbits. Yay~ =)

3 little pigs. Lolx.

Female version of 3 little pigs. Lol.

Oink oink.

Poor pig. I'm sitting on u! Haha.

Pull your ears! haha..

Someone said I'm not detailed enough. Still say I blog so slow. humph. Haha..

There is this tortoise who looks very fierce. It's called the Snapping Turtle in lay-man terms. Anyway it can open its mouth really wide underwater to await its unknowing prey. Its tongue will wriggle, imitating the movement of a worm, luring its prey to its mouth before.. clam! shut its mouth and enjoy a tasty meal. haha. what a sly tortoise.

Know what? Derek wriggled his finger outside the glass tank, trying to get the baby tortoise's attn. Guess what? It really crawled towards him! Haha. It was crawling very cautiously and slowly towards Derek's finger, opening its mouth really wide when it drew nearer. Oh man. That poor tortoise! Kena tricked by that sly Derek le lah! Wahaha. Very amusing lor! hehe.

What an encounter with tortoises! Very educational and fun! The owner is trying to raise $1.6 million for a bigger museum. Hope they are able to raise the sum quickly so that the tortoises will have a bigger home. Haha.. Another fun day spent with Derek. =)

After the visit to the Chinese & Japanese Gardens, we went to Jurong Point to makan. At the foodcourt, an uncle was eyeing at our seat when he was buying his food at the stall. Haha. Wonders why. Maybe he thought the seat was not taken. Lol.

Anyway, Derek asked me to put my bag on the other seat, so it's more obvious that the table's taken and we sat there too. Lol. Can't blame us. Cos our table was taken in the afternoon during lunch tho' our bags were there. Haha. We saw the uncle trying to look for a seat with his tray of food in his hands. So poor thing lor. Derek then asked the uncle to sit with us since we've got space. Haha. The uncle thanked us. LOL.

While queuing for our food, I asked Derek if it is cos he was guilty earlier for deliberately showing the table is taken that's why he asked the uncle over. Guess his response? He said no. It's cos he want someone to look over our table! WAHAHA. So naughty rite. Lol. Aiya, of cos joking de lah. Kekex. But to my surprise, the uncle really looked after the table for us leh! Cos he stood there to wave at us after finishing his food to indicate that he's leaving. WAHAHA. Another joke of the day. =P What an exhausting but very fun day! =D
